Living on the beautiful Gold Coast in South East Queensland, it is easy to be inspired by our stunning surroundings. I tend to use colours reminiscent of the earth, sand and the ocean. Lots of blue and turquoise hues, etchings of oxides and balanced with simple shino white glazes, allows my pieces to be easily mixed and matched.

More than 20 years ago I fell in love with pottery. I love that I can create a three-dimensional object; that you can pick it up and hand it to someone, and these pieces can be both beautiful as well as functional.

I originally created brightly coloured earthenware pieces for the table which I sold in outlets on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.

Now 20 years on I have taken up where I left off and have reunited with my passion, but this time in stoneware (for now) in colours which are much more earthy.

I mainly create wheel thrown objects, however I also make small hand built platters and dishes.
